Hello!! I have a question about the ending of s2 ep6 (loved the season by the way!!)

What lead you to making Crowley kiss aziraphale? In the past i recall you mentioning that you felt unsure to stray too far from the original material or say anything new about their relationship without Terry Pratchett being here so i wonder what caused you to change your mind? Not complaining, just curious :)

neil-gaiman:

I said I wasn’t going to change anything about the nature of their relationship in the first book, and I didn’t. I know what Terry and I had planned for the sequel, though.

👀.

neil gaiman: well terry and i wrote them to be genderless and sexless and as having a purely platonic relationship and they were never intended to be interpreted as gay

also neil gaiman: however. in the sequel that we never wrote. the idea is they fuck nasty

thealogie:

It’s been so clear the whole time can’t believe we didn’t pick up on it

not-mary-sue:

Four episodes into the new Good Omens (no spoilers please) and the bullet catcher makes Aziraphale’s season 1 suggestion of doing magic at Warlock’s party so much funnier in hindsight.

Azipharle: I’ll do my magic routine.

Crowley: *silently screaming remembering the time he nearly shot his husband on stage* Please don’t.

The Barbie movie reminded me about how when I was little my parents were upset that I kept making my Barbie dolls kiss, so they bought me a Ken doll. The next day they found me having a funeral for poor Ken in the garden, he had died of tuberculosis. All the Barbies were in attendance and I buried him under our rose bush. The Barbies were too poor to afford a headstone (it was 1875) so I didn’t mark where the grave was and I never could find him again. He’s probably still there.

I wish gay people were real :(

et-in-arkadia:

aziraphale and crowley try to perform the tiniest most unobservable fraction of a miracle together and they end up producing a massive burst of power so astonishing in scope that it sets off alarm bells in heaven where it can be seen as an enormous purple beam and radiates with a force twenty-five times the energy needed to raise someone from the dead. we’re told only an archangel could perform an act of such earth-shaking consequence which again is the result of them trying to exert their abilities in the subtlest way possible so can you imagine what they’re going to be like in bed? talk about the second coming. in this essay i will

onioneyez:

A painting of Crowley posing with four goats. Crowley is dressed in his season 2 Job flashback outfit, including that awful goatee. He has his arms around the front two goats like they're bros while one chews on his hair and another bites at the top of his head. Another goat has taken a bite out of the banner at the bottom of the screen, which appears to be made of paper, and which reads "The Kids Are All Right".ALT

He’s very easily peer pressured

(Edit: I meant by the goats)

Prints!

Love like yours will surely come my way

feathered-serpents:

I do think people are forgetting, sometimes willingly, that Aziraphale is JUST as heartbroken over the rejection as Crowley

They did not walk out of there with Crowley destroyed and Aziraphale bummed but getting over it once he was in the elevator. Aziraphale went to Crowley all giddy and excited because he really thought this was finally it, this was finally their chance to be happy, and he sees it as Crowley taking that chance and stomping on it. H wasn’t lying when he said he needed Crowley, he DOES, and now he thinks Crowley chose his hate for heaven over his love for him just as Crowley thinks Aziraphale chose his devotion to god over his devotion to him

It wasn’t as simple as “Aziraphale rejected Crowley” they both think the other rejected them it was essentially the messiest mutual break up you’ve ever seen

They’re both completely heartbroken and do not see the part they played in their own heartbreak. Both thinking THE OTHER caused it. It’s such a mess. It’s SUCH a mess I cannot STAND these two
